Pros
Let's get to the cons, as that'll be more constructive. ✅ They're willing to "train" anyone with a pulse (and who can pass a background check) to be a sales rep @ Angi leads. ✅ You can work remotely at this position.
Cons
When you see the NEGATIVE reviews from former sales reps when it comes to working at Angi, PAY ATTENTION - they know what they're talking about. I took this job back in April 2023 and started in May 2023. It was the shortest time I was at a gig, as I left voluntarily. Why'd I leave? ❌ Found out the company was sued / fined by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to the tune of 7.2 MILLION USD. And this isn't 5/10 years ago - the deposition was done back in April 2023! Why? Deceptive business practices to contractors. It's public knowledge - Google it to learn more. ❌ The sales tactics are pushy: --- One-call-close. --- Reading from a script in which you're trying to steamroll over the customer to try to make a sale. --- Having a trainer on the line to feed you lines to say to elicit the desired responses from a contractor. ❌ You're not in control of your prospecting. --- The leads I had? I spent over 90% of my 1st week on the phones dialing and leaving voicemails for people...that never got back to me. --- Some of those leads were in the system as old as October / November 2022! Older reps had them, and they eventually got to me. ❌ You're not in control of if you make a sale: --- The contractor can fail to have the proper licensing. --- The contractor can fail the mandated background check. Work at a LEGIT sales organization - not this one, if you can help it. I get that times are tough, but THIS company ain't it, not unless they make some MAJOR changes.
