If only there was a 0 star option it would balance out some of the forced 5* ones - Project Manager Anglian Water Employee Review

Pros

I'm yet to think of one.

Cons

I couldn't agree more with the most recent review of Anglian entitled "CEO that shouts orders" - the business is going downhill - fast. Logic nor reason (nor morals) can stand in the way, People standing up for what is right are pushed to one side and I don't think it's a psychologically safe place for women (particularly) to work at, at the moment. I can only imagine like the last time they were going through a restructure (I have seen three) they ask their HR and marketing teams to leave 5* reviews, none of which will have very much detail. I'm loathed to point this out as now they'll probably start adding more detail but potential employees beware.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We note that you are a current employee, so we’d really encourage you to speak up about the concerns you’ve raised, especially around psychological safety for women. You can do this through your manager, HR, or via our Inclusion reporting channels. It’s important to us that everyone feels safe, heard, and supported at work. We also recognise that you’ve been with the business for over 10 years, and that means you’ve seen a lot of change. Change can be challenging, but it’s always driven by a mindset of continuous improvement. As you’ll know, one of our core values is to ‘Always Explore’, and that includes encouraging challenge, listening to feedback, and finding better ways of doing things, while also making sure the business meets its goals. Just to clarify, the reviews we receive come from a mix of employees across the business, and we take all feedback seriously. Please do reach out internally, we genuinely want to listen and work with you to help improve your experience here.

Pros

The graduate scheme at Anglian Water offers a lot of support and development in the form of mentors, coaching, training etc, and as a graduate I'm given real responsibility to allow me to learn and help make a difference. Moving around the business through different placements every 3-4 months also means you get the chance to experience different teams, encourage collaboration and see where you fit best to work in the future. The company is also great to work for with a good culture and employee benefits.

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind.
