I was hired for this job with no sales experience, no field sales experience, no FMCG experience, and no brewery experience. Management compared my work to other colleagues and when I'd ask for help was told "No". I was literally told no! I quit this job without another job to go to because working here was an uphill battle. Why was I hired when there was no guidance, mentorship or training infrastructure for someone who had never done this before. The pay is decent, and it STILL wasn't worth staying. I think management believed in tough love. They hired me, (someone who had never done this job before) over experienced professionals. Then expected magic to happen. Every day felt like black fog and I had no idea what I was doing.
