Pros
This was originally a seasonal job for me five years ago but ended up staying with the company and working my way up to management. The best thing for me in the five years I worked for Anna's had to be the co workers. I worked with some really awesome people. This is a good seasonal job, but I wouldn't recommend anyone make a career out of it unless you have no family or life, cos once they get a hold of you- you will end up feeling that way.
Cons
Wow I don't even know where to begin. This company has so many flaws. The pay is horrible. You could probably work fast food and get paid more and be treated better. There is a lot of favoritism that went on within our district as well. The managers that I worked under all were fired. I went thru three managers in 5 years. We could never keep sales associates because the pay and because the work the company expected you to do came no where near what you should be getting paid. I would often work 8-9 days straight, 8 hr days because we would be short handed and it was never appreciated. You were only allowed one weekend per three months. That's one saturday and sunday together off for every 90 you work. The benefits weren't actually benefits, they are a "discount" plan. Upper management was never happy, they were always asking for more and more work from everyone but they would not give extra hours to complete things they ask for. This company is very cheap. They pay cheap, they buy cheap, raises we would get would be .5¢ or .10¢ for a whole year- assuming they were not in a "pay freeze". Allen Gladstone says he's all about the customer and making them happy and they even have a set of values they are supposed to go by but they are a joke. They didnt care what you had to do, how much you had to work, as long as you made them $$. But all the while they would keep piling more and more crap on you. I see this company going out of business soon if they keep purchasing crap product.
