Pay is below the standard for work/hour completed.
The turnover rate is extremely high because the job itself is boring and monotonous. With the turnover being so high, the department is never fully staffed and therefore everyone in the department is required to work overtime to meet the needs of the clients. Not that overtime is bad, but when 50-60 hour weeks become normal... there's a problem.
If you exceed your supervisor's expectations, you will only receive more responsibilities with no recognition and no pay increase or title change.
In this department specifically, everyone is treated like children. There is a lot of micromanaging and people feel like they have to be chained to their desks. They don't get to enjoy the fun company events like the rest of the company does. TPM brings in a majority of the profits for this company, so they should be treated like it.
There are rarely opportunities to grow or move to different departments.
