Pros
Anutra has a great product when drugs are available (it has gone through a few sodium bicarbonate and lidocaine shortages) and doctors use it correctly. If you are in college and want some cold calling experience to add to your resume, do an internship. Only other pro is you learn what not to do as a young professional when you get to management.
Cons
Anutra had several problems which started with management. CEO seemed a lot more concerned with growing the business at all costs than investing in great sales people due to lack of good compensation, no retirement, 10 days PTO etc which ultimately backfired. Management failed to reward good sales professionals and employees were only promised equity in a company that is not exciting investors due to lack of growth with a premium and expensive product that ultimately dentists do not need. Management did not listen to a lot of great ideas to increase sales and processes and at times asked team members to push orders that doctors did not agree to which led to a diminishing customer base. Product only fits a certain type of practice who is willing to spend 5 to 6 times more on anesthetic than they are used to. There was only 1-2 days of training for reps when I was there which caused a lot of miscommunication on proper use of the device between doctors, outside sales reps, and inside sales reps. Never a good sign when company size drops from roughly 20 to 6 or 7.
