Pros

You’ll gain unparalleled patience and adaptability skills since systems, expectations, and deadlines are always shifting.

Cons

You are often expected to put in extra hours (unpaid) to meet deadlines but will receive little to no communication or appreciation for the extra effort. Expect to be called in at any hour, even off the clock, to fix problems, with no regard for your personal time. Leadership is inconsistent, with expectations and systems that seem to change on a whim, leaving employees feeling overwhelmed and unsupported. If you're looking for a workplace that values transparency, respects work-life balance, and treats its team members with integrity, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Pros

I found Apex through an extremely opportune moment for a full role switch into the unknown. When reading the posting, I thought that it was too good to be true. Fast forward over a year later, and Apex has been everything I've been wanting and more. Apex is a place where real development happens, you are pushed to think better, communicate more clearly, and understand human behavior rather than rely on scripts or surface level tactics, and the high standards combined with direct feedback create an environment where people who take ownership grow quickly and are trusted with real autonomy. Not only this, but what we are trying to accomplish in terms of helping people retire safer, with more trusted advisors, the ripple effect is extremely real. What I do has real world effect on everyday people on the street. The advisors we work with are fantastic and appreciate what we do, our team is filled with only A-Players who want nothing more than to see everyone win, who are determined and raise the standards in all facets of life. I am better in work and life every single day that I am at Apex.

Cons

This is not a comfortable environment, the pressure is real, feedback can be confronting, and there is nowhere to hide. Which means gaps surface quickly and the pace and accountability can feel overwhelming for people who are not genuinely interested in growth or who expect structure and reassurance to be handed to them.

Pros

At Apex, we stay true to the mission and vision day in and day out. We want our clients to know how much we genuinely care for them and their success, and that is exactly how we are led every single day here. Our teams are smaller, but we are focused most on longevity and making sure we have the best of the best team that can take on every single day with the right attitude and outlook for growth. One of my favorite things here is that our CEO is extremely involved in everything we do and it makes a huge difference to know we are led by someone who cares about us as people. We have high expectations because we want to make the biggest impact on our clients lives possible. I love my job and love the team of people here.

Cons

High expectations and fast paced work is not for everyone. We are all working towards the same goal and we work together to get things done and give our clients the best of the best. We show up and give 110% every single day. If that doesn't sound like you, this is probably not the place for you.
