Pros
Apollo just raised $100 million at a $1.6 billion valuation, and the opportunity to work at such a company has been incredible. During my year and a half here, my experience has been very positive. What I love about Apollo is that you can fully own the initiatives you're working on. I was able to start a department from scratch, which was challenging but extremely rewarding. We have very talented people on the team; you can learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry. You get to work fully remotely, and we do get a budget so that you can do city meet-ups, as well as there has been a company offsite so that everyone can meet in person. Apollo strongly encourages continuous learning, providing a dedicated budget for courses, workshops, conferences, and community memberships related to your role. Last but not least, the product truly is world-class. I always talk to customers, and having customers who want to advocate for your company makes you proud.
Cons
Apollo has a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift, which is only for some. You need to be flexible and willing to adapt. Other than that, I have seen a high turnover rate in some teams, which is always hard to see people go.
