Pros
Talented and supportive colleagues (the ones not burned out or leaving) Sometimes interesting projects, if you're lucky An OK place to get some experience early in your career — if you don’t mind being undervalued
Cons
Cons: Zero salary growth — not a single raise in over 3 years, regardless of performance reviews, results and/or responsibility increase. Management is disengaged 90% of the time and only suddenly shows up in a panic before quarterly reports. No recognition or growth support — no feedback unless something goes wrong, and even then it's vague or accusatory. Toxic atmosphere: gaslighting is common — legitimate concerns are brushed off, and problems are blamed back on employees Initiative is punished, not rewarded — trying to go above and beyond often leads to more micromanagement, not appreciation Burnout is normalized and there's no effort to retain or develop talent No feedback, no praise, no mentorship — even when you directly ask how to grow or improve, you're told “just do your job” Feels like career stagnation — no mentorship, no path forward, and no appreciation for initiative. Morale is low and people either quietly disengage or leave.
