Pros

- In certain teams you do not need to do any real work to grow namely CS, support and operations. Jump on such opportunity the day you see an opening because all you will do is tag others on slack when questions and setup meetings. - There is so much attrition that now matter how bad you are, you will get hired. If you do join it is a golden opportunity to switch careers. Many folks join, switch teams in a year and then leave.

Cons

- A company that wants to make other company's finance teams efficient is struggling to make it's own finance team and the company efficient. Here's how - this company has 7 members in finance team just in India. There are companies that are 10 times larger and have finance teams half the size. - There are 5 customer success folks in India who are doing one POC - Due to an immature and shortsighted leadership, building one strategic feature takes years. The focus is purely to build what customers are asking for and be happy. The engineering is too focused on small wins and has no long term vision to build scalable tech - A lot of senior folks in engineering, product, Data science and other critical teams have left recently because they are not trusted or too tired of the leadership - If you do not fit the categories mentioned then you will not survive this company. - Employees in India are encouraged to not have kids so their mornings, evening and nights can be loaded with meetings that they are not allowed to question. However folks in the US and UK can skip even customer meetings saying they need to drop their kids to school. - Employees in US and UK can go one frequent 1-2 week long leaves and not questioned but in India if you take a day off you will be questioned. This is because of the spineless leadership in India The following category of folks thrive in India office: - folks who attend meetings at night, share minutes of the meeting, assign tasks to other, repeat what CEO/CTO said and provide updates back to them in late night meetings. Say 'good job folks' at the end of the meeting after not saying a word during the entire meeting. These are the ops folks. - folks who come to office in the afternoon, have lunch, do something, play TT, talk to random folks on bluetooth and go home. Claim to be doing a lot of late night meetings. - folks who tag others on slack for anything and everything because they have no idea what is going on in the company. Extremely hands-off, mostly in retirement mode. Modus operandi is too hire as many managers as possible below them. There is a team that has 25 members and 5 managers in India. - Another special mention here. Guys who should have retired, dyed their hair and stayed at home but have to act like a secretary to CEO/CTO. A classic example of what a unskilled Indian has to do to survive in the US. I feel bad for such guys because while they introduce themselves as the heads, they are not allowed to take ANY decision about any product let alone their own product. So they end up doing tasks like leave approvals, spreadsheet formatting attending customer meetings so they can act like a postman to the CEO/CTO partly also because of a world class customer success team that is majorly into coordinating and setting up meetings. With such a setup I am sure the company is going to do well in the future. When the companies all over the world are making such people go home, here is a company that wants more such folks.

Pros

Great products and visionary leadership. Always at the leading edge of technology and innovation. The best part is the culture and great people to uphold the values.

Cons

Nothing I can think of. The situation is very similar to the other startup where efficiency matters most and high throughput is expected. So everyone is expected to deliver aggressive timelines with the usage of AI tools.

Pros

I’ve been in People Operations here for over four years as an individual contributor, and overall, it’s been a very rewarding experience. The biggest pro is the opportunity for growth. I’ve consistently felt challenged in my role and have been given new projects and opportunities that have pushed me outside my comfort zone in a good way. If you’re someone who wants to learn quickly and take on meaningful work, there’s plenty of room to do that here. I’ve also been able to see the impact of my work pretty immediately, which is incredibly motivating. The people are another major highlight. The team is collaborative, supportive, and always willing to jump in to help. There’s a strong sense of partnership across teams, and that makes even the busiest times manageable.

Cons

It’s definitely a fast-paced environment, and you have to be quick on your feet. Priorities can shift, and you need to be comfortable operating with some ambiguity. That won’t be for everyone. But if you thrive in an agile, high-energy environment and enjoy being challenged, this is a great place to grow and build your career.
