Pros
Great manager. One. Singular. Most of them are clueless. They preach the right things and you end up with some people that actually practice the strong business ethics and customer relations that are taught. They also say that they promote from within, it's a strong value of theirs. It's a pretty legit place to do business from a consumer side. If you're older than 35, you can get away with anything.
Cons
$$$If you're succeeding too much and making all of your bonuses, they change your pay plan and make it so complicated that you need a spreadsheet. Apparently bonuses aren't there to incentivize you to achieve goals but are just a cute little carrot you're never supposed to taste$$$ They hired a few outside people to the Board of Directors (because they promote from within so much) and these people have never fixed nor sold cars in their entire life. Neither has the President/Owner. And these are the people making all of the decisions. Does this sound like a place you would like to work? Overall clueless management AND employees. They hire anything that has a heartbeat and then treat the person poorly for underperforming when they shouldn't have been hired to begin with. They succeed in spite of themselves because of location. The veterans on any side of the business are very cut throat and management enables it. If you have tenure or you're older, you can get away with anything from smoking in the cars they're selling to mistreating employees and customers (like seriously mistreating and borderline abusing). However, if you're under the age of 35, then WATCH OUT. You will get blamed for other people's mistakes and since management can never admit they're wrong, you won't even get an apology. We're not talking one or two incidents with a few individuals, we're talking across the board. Try to prove a manager wrong, I dare you.
