Great company in growth mode! - Director of Sales Applied Technologies Employee Review

The people are amazing at Applied. From leadership to entry level engineers, everyone is not only nice, but just gets it. Lot of positive, collaborative, and helpful people. I have been with the company for 5 years and seen a lot of change in those five years as the company has adapted to changing markets and technology. We got a new/old President in 2017, and business has been trending up ever since. I feel that we lacked a strong leader for awhile, but having Steve Grimm in place, working with our VP of Engineering so closely, the two make an awesome team, and Applied is a better place than ever to come and grow your career. There is also great work life balance available with many positions having at least some opportunity to work from home.

Since our workers are spread out all the time (engineers out on location, sales out selling), we could do better at getting everyone together more often for team building type activities. Partying at the Annual Company Christmas party is always fun... now we just need more of that!

This is an amazing place to work for, I can't say enough about the people and the culture here. The work is fulfilling and the experience amazing. The engineers here are some of the smartest most dedicated engineers you will find in any company, the Account Manager, Program Managers and support staff I think are supportive, understanding and incredibly dedicated to making the company succeed. The management is focused on success of the company and of the people. They ask a lot of you but they give a lot in return. Management listen to ideas, provides feedback, and are there when you need them. The work is challenging, engaging, and rewarding. If you are not prepared to work this is not the place for you.

The parent company can feel over reaching at times, and the work sometimes comes in cycles, but I think that the management, Engineers and AM do a really good job at making those down cycles shorter.
