Pros
The lack of leadership/people management/training means you have full autonomy.
Cons
Senior management perpetuates a culture of fear that isn't born out of respect but that which comes from witnessing the continuous mismanagement of projects, as well as the mistreatment of colleagues at all levels. Specific examples include management utilising the "we are a family" trope, patronising employees and making them feel like they are both children and owe something to the firm. The fact that Arabesque professes to care about sustainability is the ULTIMATE IRONY. The founders and execs possess a negligible amount of knowledge in the subject and barely make an effort to pretend that they care once you're through the door. When challenged on topics such as employee benefits or diversity etc, leadership never fails to meet this with denial and a defensive stance. It is impossible to change this culture, many have tried and since left the firm and so the company continues to operate as an old-school boys club, with a little start-up chaos sprinkled on top (just to reel you in). While the opportunity may seem great, I would strongly advise avoiding this company if you have a genuine passion for sustainable business and wish not to work in an autocracy.
