Pros
Pay is okay and the job isn't terribly difficult.
Cons
The monitoring is shameful and robs the empoyee of any sense of well being while at work. The worst part is that this is not adequately disclosed up front. You are handed a phone that they can and do tap into. Both the audio and video. Who is to prevent this from being abused? If one of the young ladies takes this phone home into her changing room what is to stop some creepy manager, or more likely the forestry specialist, from spying? This needs to be spelled out very clearly with no ambiguity at all. Unfortunately, these tools are used to harass the employees. This is less about productivity and more about "what is so and so saying about me". Well, if they insist on listening they may hear something they don't like. I don't see how that is the employees fault. If the tables are turned what would we hear? My forestry specialist told me that if I didn't like being monitored then I should seek a different occupation. News flash...Noone wants this type of surveillance. This sort of thing should be reserved for emergencies or extreme situations. Who is monitoring those doing the monitoring to make sure that they are not watching and listening for the "wrong" reasons? This review serves as a warning and applies to anyone working for Arbormetrics, but especially the women. You have no privacy around your phone. Keep this in mind if you are taking your phone into a restroom or changing either while at work or after. I find the situation wholly unacceptable and it taints what would otherwise be an alright company. What is offensive is that this isn't spelled out to the employees.
