Pros

Learning how to correct issues and overcome bad management, bad pay, and a male chauvinist empowered company.

Cons

Stress! Bad pay! Bad bonus plans that change to worse every year! CEO is female, but they literally still have functions that only men can attend whether they are working for the company or customers. Ever heard of Duck Club? No women allowed period. If you try and voice any sort of opinion that differs from theirs, you are pulled in a back room and threatened. The male managers, along with some female, joke about extremely inappropriate and crude things on the sales floor. If you speak up about it, you are bullied in to submission. I made the company $20M a year and I made considerably less after eight years than when I was hired due to cuts in pay and bonus structure. New hires are paid less than pizza delivery people. Work to life balance is awful, company mentality is awful, management is a joke, and they keep trying to make themselves look better so they can sell the company off. Get out while you can!

Pros

I’ve been here for over a decade. Always been proud of where I worked. Always liked my job and the people I worked with.

Cons

I’ve been forced into a new position and team with a reorg and I’m also being forced into a new schedule. They’ve recently introduced “work norms” which have taken away all flexibility for managers to bend to employee circumstances and performance. I’ve always done my job well. Being forced to do it at different hours in the day isn’t going to change that- so why can’t I keep the schedule I’ve had for years? It was never a problem before.
