Pros

Architects Alaska has a strong group of people who are committed to their work and to supporting one another. The firm appears to be moving in the right direction, particularly under the newer leadership approach. There is a noticeable focus on improving efficiency and modernizing workflows. Collaboration across teams is solid, and overall momentum is positive.

Cons

The firm is in a transition period, so some processes and communication are still being worked out. In a few areas, the “way it’s always been done” mindset can make change a challenge and take longer than it should.

Pros

Flexible schedule/remote working options. Lots of opportunities for employee growth and advancement. Company has good relationships with a number of long-term clients and is overall very stable. Try to create opportunities for staff to grow in areas they have interest in. Firm values diversity and inclusion.

Cons

Workloads sometimes get to be a bit much because they try to avoid hiring/firing people. The firm does quite a bit of institutional work and does not shy away from projects the lack glamor - this can be challenging for some people.
