Pros
For the most part, this was a good job and everyone I worked with was awesome. I made some great friends. I was initially hired on as a Drafter II do just curtain wall. As time went on, I started doing 3D work. When I went to management to get a pay increase, I was denied. They stated them training me was adequate enough payment, disregarding the fact that I studied 3D design in college. It's definitely a buddy buddy place. Pay was okay, life balance was okay.
Cons
Managers bid projects and sometimes give them unrealistic dates of completion. They say they will invest in your future and tuition reimbursement, but when you seek advice on the issue, no one can give you a direct answer and you get the runaround. Definitely a job for those looking to stay long term since the pay growth is incremental. Old guy there name Jim can be every type of "phobic" you can think of. Really need to rein that guy in.
