I left the business for better pay and better hours. One of my suggestions on my previous review was more listening groups. However, my final memory of the business was that when some minor gripes and issues were forwarded to the listening group administrator at a later point, the response was incredible.
Instead of hearing our points and suggesting reasons why certain items could or could not be addressed, our technician team was made to feel as though we had done something terrible by raising ANY issues.
Senior management got involved and the overriding sentiment was, "What the hell is going on in that department", as though we had no right to raise any issues at all!
That is a VERY poor response from a so called listening group.
Instead of going through the motions of having listening groups, the management would do well to actually listen to the concerns of their Technicians and attempt to address them, rather then belittle them, which I would suggest encourages staff to seek employment elsewhere.
