Pros
New Fishers, IN office is very nice and has a hip vibe. Pay is good. Work is challenging.
Cons
This company will never be voted top employer to work for if voted by its employees. The only consistent communication received from human resource is which lunch food truck will be in the parking lot every Thursday. Current HR hiring practice is to look outside for promotion vs. internal with more weight given to outsiders. Work life balance is very poor depending on the department you are in. Instead of rolling out an employee friendly flexible work schedule it goes by department or supervisor which of course is very inconsistent. This company had zero empathy to employees adversely displaced with the relocation of its headquarters from Muncie to Fishers. It's unfortunate in that young or new hires may never truly understand the close knit culture that once existed before Ardagh purchased the company in 2014. There used to be company wide annual holiday parties, fundraisers for the community, promotion of volunteerism, sports leagues, volleyball at lunch, Indy Mini Marathon teams, tuition reimbursement, and career advancement initiatives. Most of this is non existent now or not given much thought it seems. Atmosphere is somewhat smug now. Gone is the day of the company CEO walking up to you asking about your family or wishing you a Merry Christmas.
