Under the Cons was included "unfit micro management" and in considering this feedback I will plead "half guilty"... I don't consider any of the management unfit, exactly the opposite - I believe ARIN one of the finest management teams in the Internet sector – however, it is true that there is more "top down" oversight than would be typical of a small not-for-profit. This entirely per my direction, as ARIN is atypical in that we provide critical infrastructure necessary for the Internet to operate, and we exist in an evolving and uncertain ecosystem that requires smooth relations with partner organizations, network operators, and governments globally. As a result, many common approaches taken by other small associations aren't necessary applicable and may be be harmful in ways not readily apparent.
