Cons
The family like environment is exclusive, the ladies in the company went out of their way to make me feel invisible and when acknowledged, unwelcome, lots of gossip, disrespect, and complaining, bad talking about current and former employees made the area I worked in uncomfortable, private meetings about my performance were held with spiteful teammates and management, owner is rude and critiques potential employees based on their outward appearance, and outright lies told. I was reported to HR for kindly reminding the women on my team that I am not personally responsible for making them appeasing their low self esteem after my team lead made disparaging comments about my weight. Comments and overall exclusion had already been well established within the area. The departments are segregated by gender so the men could be heard having fun, being all calm, and normal while the other side was tense. When I was abruptly let go, HR lied to the department of commerce to try to keep from paying unemployment. It did not work but just goes to show that the attitude of the team reflects the leadership.
