      Pros

      Arrow is one of the two largest Distributors in the Industrial Electronics Distribution Industry (Avnet is the other). They have a wonderful line-card (suppliers) and a very strong product and services offering. Given their position in the industry and product offerings, they can appeal to a very large target customer base. When a solid sales team is in place, they can move mountains. Many of the former leaders of this company were the best of the best. They groomed a culture that lasted decades.

      Cons

      There are virtually little to no traces left of this legacy culture. Most of the employees are either new and disgruntled or more tenured and disgruntled. HR became a revolving door, with little to no regard for the employee. Executive leadership who was tasked with managing this division, worked diligently to destroy any trace of the previous culture and instead worked to assimilate the culture to a more comfortable "Avnet", using the HR department and under-handed methods to rid themselves of these employees. There is little to no trace of strategic vision, except "the number".

You raise many good points about looking internally and understanding what is going on, esp. with regard to why the workforce which in your words, appears to be "disgruntled."       Pros

      I had a very positive experience interning at Arrow Electronics. The management team was supportive and approachable, and communication was clear and consistent throughout my time there. Expectations were well‑defined, and I always knew where to go if I had questions or needed guidance. My coworkers were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, which made collaboration smooth and enjoyable. Arrow also has a strong support system in place for interns, which helped create an environment where learning and growth were encouraged. Overall, Arrow Electronics provided a well‑structured and professional internship experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the team. I would recommend Arrow to students looking for a solid and supportive internship environment.

      Cons

      I truly cannot think of much other than IT related hurdles which slowed down progress on my projects initially.

      I have been able to use unlimited vacation.

      The same issues occur in multiple business units but no change is ever made.
