Pros
Location. New facility. Free lunch.
Cons
Favoritism, discrimination, low pay, poor management, low quality of life, and lack of departmental innovation are all words to sum up Arthrex. No protection. HR only sides with management. If you have concerns about management discriminating or playing favorites, good luck. Pay is low for industry and does not match the notoriously high cost of living in Naples. Managers do not respect your personal life. Expect to work overtime and not be compensated for it. They let people go on the fly and expect an already short staffed team to support work at the same rate. For how nice the facility is and all the money the founder gets to pocket as a private company, he does not care about quality of life for employees. Don’t believe the hype HR gives you during hiring process. If manager is of a different race, do not bother continuing with hiring process. Asians like Asians. Whites with Whites. Workplace is not equitable, fair, nor team-oriented. Speak up culture is non-existent. All teams work in silos and are not there to support you unless it benefits them. New employees are thrown into the fire on day 1. Little to no proper training provided. Managers are unable to innovate, delegate tasks, dismissive of feedback, and unable to see the big picture. They give you an excessive amount of tasks with no guidance and no date for when it’s due, then get angry at you when you do it in an order they don’t like, despite not providing key deliverable criteria. Growth does not exist at company. Many engineers have been stuck in same role for years with no opportunity to move upward. Politics wins over skills for promotion. Loudest person in room wins. Performance is not valued here, only tenure and adulation get you performance. Ideas are not accepted here. If you like following orders with no innovation, you’ll fit right in. If you want to innovate , Arthrex will break your spirit.
