Pros
Sometimes you get to work on fun projects and meet great people. It is a fast paced environment where you will quickly learn new skills and more about the industry altogether.
Cons
They market themselves to sound like a fun agency and work “family” but things can quickly get pretty messy and boundaries are will be crossed. Biases and nepotism are not uncommon here and most of all, personal affairs and emotions have frequently been brought into the office. The CEO has or has had a romantic relationship with an employee which definitely fed into the nepotism and office drama at one point. There is a high chance you may be reprimanded and disciplined for being even 1-5 minutes late to work, even if you are on salary. And if you go home right on the dot, like a healthy work-life balance should allow, you are not considered to be a good employee. The way they run their business feels just like high school and not the most uplifting environment coming from upper management. Instead it can feel cliquey and like you’ll occasionally have to walk on eggshells. They will sometimes test their employees to determine their worth to the team. Micromanaging is also extremely prevalent in this office. There are security cameras all around, and they will offen watch to see what’s going on at your desk or what tabs you might have open. It was actually disheartening to see the lack of trust they have in their employees. Lastly there is no HR department, which speaks for itself.
