High Turnover and No Upper Management Accountability - Office Personnel Ascend Employee Review

The benefits are excellent. Health insurance premiums are low for employees. Pay is on the high side. No micromanaging in the accounting department. Employees given lots of trust. Great manager in accounting allowing immense flexibility

Upper management too spread out across the country. Sometimes seems unorganized and unstructured

Start up culture, the people who were on my team were great. I enjoyed being around my immediate team- but that's it.

Worked there for over a year and was a top performer, asked for a raise and was told "Raises are only given for promotions and during yearly reviews," (spoiler: never had a yearly review). Upper management was misogynistic and constantly made jabs at women, such as: "If a woman is cheated on, she deserved it and if a man cheats, it is just natural tendencies," "A woman's one goal in life is to get married and have kids,".... I could name more but the post would be too long. I did complain to HR about this, but nothing happened. Changed hours multiple times- from 8-5, to 7-4, to 7-5. Taking lunch was frowned upon, constantly told, "freight doesn't stop."
