Pros

401k match could be better. They will absolutely bribe you with employee perks but it is equivalent to taking hush money and not speak about the serious culture issues poking through the surface. Perks are made for Public Relations announcements, people without children or leadership that can afford nannies.

Cons

Do yourself a favor and read the previous reviews. It is not at all the place that they will sell you in your interviews. I cant even count how many times the CEO demanded to interview our team members and then lied to them about the role, lied to them about what he was doing for our department, and lied to them about promoting them. We literally cant get into a Women centered tech non-profit in NZ because "We don't provide a safe place to work for women". There is no work life balance and I have heard the C Level Leadership team complain in our company wide meetings about other people leaving because they couldn't offload the work of 2 or 3 people onto 1 anymore. I experienced this directly for many years. I was asked to work while admitted to the hospital if that gives you any indication of how they operate. So many issues for this growing company. Blatant racism and sexism that I experienced. Women are told to shut up in front of other team members, they are gossiped about by leadership, complaints about harassment are "heard" but ignored, and access to do their jobs is withheld while giving the same access to other men in completely different department because "clicking buttons might be a bit tricky". Multiple complaints have been made to leadership in regards to harassments, physical assaults, retaliations and more often than not thos employees are severanced out for making complaints. I have seen on more than one occasion where either nothing happened at all even though documentation and witness accounts were provided, or the person was promoted or given a salary bump. Thank goodness for EPLI, right? I was initially hired and excited to brand Ask Nicely as a great place to work however it seems that they are determined to implode on themselves. The recklessness and lack of forethought concerning cash/product pricing/hiring is absolutely astounding. My best advise is to run away as fast as you can from this unpolished turd of a company. You will regret it from day 1 as soon as the blinders are removed and you see what this company is really like.

Pros

I started here recently, and have been overwhelmed by the positive and friendly reception I've received from the team. So far my experience has been incredibly wonderful, with an emphasis on collaboration and an overall drive to grow and move quickly. Benefits are uniquely amazing, including Nice Days and a yearly Work From Anywhere stipend. We are positioned to add a ton of positions this year, so growth potential is limitless~ I'm really excited for the future.

Cons

Since we're still in startup mode, we're still figuring things out. There aren't uniform processes set in place for everything yet, so if you struggle with a bit of ambiguity this might not be the right fit for you. However, if you love to figure things out, build processes and work together to discover best practices, this would be a great fit!
