Here is my top 4:
- AGGRESSIVE MICRO-MANAGEMENT: Remote work may sound nice and it was a huge selling point when I applied. However, they don't tell you that they use Time Doctor, which tracks your EVERY movement on your laptop. I have gotten "talked" to for being away from my computer for more than 10 minutes and got grilled on why. I was using the bathroom. Imagine explaining to upper management that you were gone for 15 minutes because you suffer from IBS. Yeah, not ideal.
- POOR PAY: For the amount of work they want/are required to do, it's not worth the pay. There are similar or the same jobs in the industry that pay competitively. They don't.
- POOR MANAGEMENT: Upper management is unorganized and lacks communication between teams. And when things go wrong because of their actions, they will blame lower-level employees. In addition, they are condescending and make you feel stupid. It's so disheartening and unmotivating.
- NO GROWTH: The number of times I have been told that career and growth planning is something we will discuss soon... it never came. If you are looking to grow within your career, you will be stuck here.
In all, I would not recommend working here. If you prioritize a work-life balance, don't. I have seen the life drained out of my team and others around me.
