Pros

I love this company. It's one of the best places that I have ever worked. I've seen so much growth and innovative changes but the mission, culture and our values remain the same. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a VERY fast paced, environment that requires a lot of collaboration and provides the opportunity to be a part of building a company on the cusp of changing the world. The perks are cool with free beverages, discount on my Verizon bill and free access to the community center. The company is not for everyone, only those looking to personally challenge themselves because it requires a lot of dedication but it will be worth it in the long run.

Cons

Working with limited space due to all of the growth but we're building a new 90,000 sq ft. building in 2017 so hopefully that will help.

Pros

Good location Free membership to the Community Center Myriad's (parent company) benefits are good Product actually helps improve peoples' lives

Cons

Constant confusion and disagreement among leadership Complete lack of vision for the product software No funding for tools, training, and people needed for the demands/requirements given Frequent development emergencies due to speed being valued over quality Promises made, but never fulfilled. Actions never match words. The appeal of working for Assurex Health included working with awesome technology that truly helps people, a large potential for career growth, and a significant monetary reward from an IPO or acquirement. However, what transpired instead was career stagnation (for many) due to poor compensation and lack of training/tools needed for career growth. Likewise, the college tuition, mortgage payoff, and early retirement that was touted by the CEO as things we could do with our stock options turned out to be a couple thousand dollars for employees that were here for 5+ years, while the CEO received millions. People changed their lives by buying/building houses to move closer to this company and accepted well below-market-value salaries because of the promises made by leadership regarding our stock options value. The company lists "People First" as a core value and preaches to always put the patient first, but nearly every decision made and action taken contradicts this value. Processes that improve the quality and experience for our customers are cut in order to get a product out faster that people find frustrating or unusable. Developers are asked to build things as fast as possible, regardless of what processes are in place, before requirements are even decided upon. The reduction in product development staff further sends the message that high quality and enjoyable experiences with our product doesn't matter, and people/patients are not as important as sales and dollars. Why would anyone want to stay?
