      Company is realising it has to change substantially to be competitive

      Hypocritical HR Practices Backsniping colleagues who try and make you own their failures The phrase “We don’t believe in raises” is one I’ve heard from HR on multiple occasions. Directors and leaders often prioritize minor issues, which can lead to frustrating clients and losing business. There is a significant lack of subject expertise within the development team, resulting in key features that are practically unusable. Phrases like “Not my job,” “Never heard that before,” “That’s not how we do things around here,” “That’s not what my boss says,” and “We don’t work with that department” are frequently used to justify a refusal to improve the low standards. The equipment provided is subpar (there’s no budget for headsets, yet there is enough to fly directors first class around the world for dinners).

      Pros

      - people really care about each other and customers - great energy in office hubs in Prague, Boston, London, Brno, Bratislava, Toronto, Hanoi and Sydney (I haven't seen Melbourne yet) - best Data Quality engine on the market with strong Data Catalog; now complemented with strong Data Observability and Lineage products - AI focused internally and in the products

      - working to implement necessary processes and standardization without becoming corporate - trying to find right balance between positivity and reality sometimes

      Pros

      People are incredible. Everyone there truly cares for and lifts each other up. I have never enjoyed my coworkers at a place more than I do at ataccama.

      Cons

      I no longer trust this company nor the leadership. They have destroyed every bit of goodwill and the position of the company through questionable-at-best decision making and it's had real effect on people's lives. I now question if the goal of this company is just to trim it down enough to be taken over by a hyperscaler looking to add robust DQ to its portfolio.
