Pros

Macbook Health Insurance Remote Work

Cons

Despite the job being fully remote, they require all employees to work from Nairobi, with the reasoning that Nairobi has fewer power outages as compared to areas outside Nairobi. You have to ask for permission to travel outside Nairobi, which may or may not be granted if not fully convincing. The monthly salary does not match the fees paid by the clients. While the clients pay $3000 monthly, the EA gets to pocket Kshs. 66,000. All this time the clients know EAs get paid $1000 out of the fees they pay. As an EA, you are not allowed to discuss or disclose the salary you get to your client, otherwise, you risk immediate termination. The company claims to follow Kenyan Labor Laws, however, when it comes to salary increments, you have to tell them why you should be given that raise, and if the reason is not good enough, they will not give you the raise. You also have to submit monthly videos showing what skills you have learnt in your partnership, failure to which, you risk a disciplinary case. Let's not talk about the numerous documentation that you have to do daily and weekly.

Pros

Pay was good, simple and fast sale, Tons of inbound. Too good to be true…

Cons

Little training or organization. As a new hire was able to do really well in a short period of time but was part of mass lay off 6 days before Christmas. Layoff was handled terribly. Still waiting to get reimbursed for shipping cost for returning company equipment. I regret applying here and it really screwed up my life. The leadership is both incompetent and cruel.
