Pros
Free tickets to wonderful ballet performances
Generally a pretty laid-back, creative vibe among staff
There are some very kind people who work here
Cons
The hiring process is extremely disorganized with little to no communication. Excessive amount of interviews for low-paying positions, which in my opinion is very disrespectful of candidates' time.
You will be expected to work over 40 hours a week with no overtime.
Across all departments, the staff generally seems disconnected, burnt out, and just "over it." The dancers and artistic team put on amazing work but on the admin side, there is little energy or excitement about anything going on at this organization, likely as a result of staff being overworked and exhausted over time.
Poor communication. Meetings are often tense and unproductive.
Senior leadership is often working from home or leaving work early, while lowest paid staff members are expected to stay 9 am - 5 pm every day, sometimes while also working performances (way over 40 hours a week).
