- The compensation is competitive and the schedule has done a lot of good for my family. I don't think the company knows how thankful I am for this.
- The company is beginning to provide me with the authority and tools I need to flourish.
- I am provided with resources to make my job easier.
- The company is poised to expand. I suspect there will be career opportunities.
- I have a great manager (for now) that keeps a lot of the management redderick at bay so I can focus on doing my job supporting the operators and managing the technical aspects of the plant.
Cons
- The company sometimes feels like it is in startup mode. It can be difficult to find which department or person responsible for a particular aspect of a job and there are still disconnections in the information flow.
- Training is poor and the rules are not consistently enforced. Common sense must be verified sometimes prior to taking action.
- Very supportive site management -- will give you the tools needed to succeed in your position and recognized appropriately for work.
- Lots of opportunity to find efficiencies where it's a mid sized company
- Great for career growth -- I've seen lots of promotions here and I can certainly see more with new pits coming online and the parent company looking for opportunities.
Cons
- Communication between departments and corporate is poor. This was a carryover issue from the previous owners and hasn't been resolved as of yet -- we sometimes don't know what to expect.
- Training can be very sink or swim.
- Rules and compensation structures are not applied consistently -- there have been people who should have been let go a long time ago still around and making much more money than others who have better qualifications.
