Pros
During my internship at Atlantic Pictures, I had the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the film production world. I visited two professional sets so far, which gave me a valuable understanding of on-set dynamics and the collaboration between departments. Additionally, I was tasked with writing script coverage, which helped sharpen my analytical skills and deepen my appreciation for story development. The fast-paced nature of the company also taught me to stay organized and adapt quickly to changing needs.
Cons
However, most of my daily responsibilities were limited to runs and administrative tasks, such as frequent trips to Target, with little involvement in core production processes, we were moving so I had to packed the office instead of doing more learning tasks, also had one shadow every 2 or 3 weeks. I had to actively seek out opportunities to join shoots and engage with production teams. Unfortunately, my supervisor provided minimal guidance or feedback, and the internship lacked a clear structure focused on learning and growth. As a result, the experience was more self-directed than educational, requiring persistence to extract meaningful value.
