They teach you how to pitch a product in Verizon Fios TV internet and cable. You meet interesting people some more than others. They give you food on Thursday for team night pizza and wings or you go bowling. It gives you the opportunity to see other places while knocking on doors. They come with a cool pitch too “Hey my name is John Doe I’m just out here with Verizon Fios. We just updated all the fiber optic lines in your area I’m just out here doing customer service you got Comcast right” “I’ve been hearing a lot of high bills from a lot of the neighbors how much they charge you” you’ll hear this in atmo as well

Where do I begin they you into thinking you’re going to own your own business. They promote you to leadership and give you more responsibilities for free. For example leaders had to come in at 8:30 and entry levels had to be there by 10. They do that and get the same pay as entry levels. They have a base pay of 500 with reduced commissions meaning you don’t make what you sell. You only get full “ownerstroke” if you beat the manager in a car game called banana or if you come in on your off days. Which is cut throat that the only way my sales wouldn’t get taxed is if I beat him in a car game. The funny thing is they don’t have benefits and the money you make is below minimum wage after 6 days you get about 400 a week for base pay after taxes which ain’t worth the sacrifice. They don’t even pay you for showing up or work by the hour. They make you stand thru this thing called “Atmosphere” which they call ATMO is a morning meeting that the manager tells bs stories about Ken or some higher ups of Verizon. They tell their success stories and use it to trick you into staying even though you may suspect something is off. Trust your gut it’s bs. They even give “high rolling speeches” someone who went out and made two or more sales. It will start off like “let’s get some juice from our high rollers from yesterday” and the manager says “cool” and everybody follows up with “aye”. They will be like “Albert going out two times” then everybody gives two claps depending on number of sales made and then they give high rolling speeches. They will say things that worked for them in the “field” which is the place of hell where you try to sell. They even send you outside on bad weather days and don’t have health benefits or 401 k. You basically doing door to door sales at your own risk. They have you get into groups that have car rides and standards and goals. The manager will give people permission to ride in your vehicle without asking you. I remember there was a scandal where all of the leaders were “X filed” aka fired because of a glitch in the tablets in which leaders committed credit fraud and the manager had made it seem like he didn’t know what was going on. He will probably try to lie and say he didn’t know. The leaders put the first name last and last name first and everybody with bad credit was passing credit checks when signed up with verizon Fios. They were making seven sales a day and it got out when a visiting office performed credit fraud when they returned to their original office. If you look at the old photographs above none of those people work their anymore because they did the glitch I even took a screenshot of it. The turnover rate is high and you are better off getting a job elsewhere that will pay you a lot more money because I make more at my current job than half the sales man and I only work 4 days a week and they work 6 days with no guaranteed money. I know people who have been messed over I was one of them.
