      Good place for short career (< 3 years) - Software Development Engineer II Audible Employee Review

      Pros

      - Great set of people in Cambridge office - Free daily lunch, snacks, happy hour and free audio books. - Job security (Hiring bar is higher so they always hire good people) - You will learn a lot on how to be a decent software engineer and what skills are needed to succeed in your NEXT career/job.

      Cons

      - Path to growth is not always clear. - Looks for filling senior level and leadership position from outside or recently by attracting Amazon employees, rather than growing and promoting from within. - Constant change in leadership and lots of churn in New Jersey office (Head Quarter) - Mid management lacks leadership and are only concern with having them look good and does not care too much about team dynamics or individuals growth.

      Pros

      Audible is an Amazon company. I think as a whole, this company attracts people who are kind and fun spirited. Some who come from other big tech companies may think us as nerdy or quiet but I think it’s the lack of toxic compatibility that you tend to see at those other companies. I purely enjoy working with my colleagues and the work that I do, which I can hardly say about the other big tech companies I worked at. Free lunch and commuter/parking benefit

      Cons

      5-day RTO. The headquarter is in Newark, NJ. The commute can be hard for some.
