Pros
I met some great colleagues while working there.
Cons
My time at Audigent was marred by a glaring lack of accountability, toxic culture, disorganization and mismanagement. The company's failure to establish working agreements created an environment of chaos and disarray. Feedback went largely unheard, leading to a sense of frustration and disregard among employees. Key issues included the rejection of agile methodologies and the misalignment of roles. Upper leadership provided little support, allowing a culture of blame and mistrust to fester. Incompetent leadership within the engineering teams hindered effective communication and wasted valuable time. The absence of a clear roadmap, poor project management practices, and rude behavior in the sales department further exacerbated the problems. Services were sold to our clients that Audigent had never done before. The expectation was for the team to “fake it until you make it” in a constant state of emergencies and fire drills. This led to Audigent being a bad partner to our clients by consistently missing deadlines or responding in a timely manner. Key employees in leadership roles epitomized the toxic culture with opposition to new ideas, dismissive behavior, and bullying tendencies. Leadership would not listen to employee bandwidth issues. HR shares feedback to leadership with names of those providing feedback which has led to retaliation from upper management. My personal experience mirrored broader issues, with misleading job descriptions, underutilization of strengths, and a lack of inclusion. Overall, Audigent needs a drastic transformation to rectify these deeply ingrained problems and foster an atmosphere of collaboration, growth, and professionalism. In my opinion, I would not join this team and seek out other opportunities.
