Pros

Wonderful group of people to work with Incredible music and commitment to music quality Awesome vacation and health benefits Good understanding of the life/work balance Entry level and manager level jobs are a great experience

Cons

Challenging to move up the ladder after manager level There will always be a ceiling unless you are in the London HQ Very conservative for an independent small company, no risk taking Firmly committed to senior management (promotions tend to be based on tenure rather than merit) Weak managers, poor communication skills Firmly committed to reporting structure regardless of what/who is best for the business Last minute decisions, severe lack of planning, Offering the same product for the last 10 yrs with no new production plans 3 out of the 17 senior managers are women

Pros

Audio Network does it’s most important thing best - creates great music. Their approach to building their catalog is absolutely second to none. From large orchestral recordings at Abbey Road to finding a great hip hop artist for an excellent commercial release album, they know exactly what they’re doing. The people who work at Audio Network are also great. They’re the kind of people you bond with and become lifelong friends. Customers love working with Audio Network because they (often) hire the right people. The pay was very fair and the benefits were good.

Cons

There seemed to be a lot of management turnover which was unsettling. They also seemed to have the tendency to hire executives based upon impressive past work history at reputable businesses but didn’t have any experience in the music industry or knowledge of the industry landscape. Hard to get promoted here. They’re good about raises but it’s difficult to advance in title and take on more responsibility.

Pros

A commitment to a high quality of music. You can believe in the product and enjoy the music personally! Family-like work culture and environment. Generally a "fun" environment. Friends for life type of place. Approachable management Small organization, opportunity to learn about the various roles each department plays Healthcare plan is good Open space work plan makes collaboration and visibility accessible and easy

Cons

Working for a vendor with a weak, unrecognized, un-established brand makes hitting numbers, and agreeing expenditures difficult. Most managers and several senior mangers lack experience outside the company. They make decisions that are based on politics, not productivity, from client management to employee career growth and engagement Slow employee development. It's a small org, and with many employees in the UK, where job turnover is harder to come by, the structure is fixed. Slow product offering and portfolio development. Same product offerings for 10+ years. Cheap salaries Not a good 401k plan
