Many employees are welcoming and interested in getting to know you, even if you are not in the same department. This is a good place to get some on-the-job experience under your belt.
Cons
Stuck in the past. They keep saying they want to grow and modernize, but they do not actually want to. Many folks are adverse to new technology and new ideas. Some folks in management are a good example of "failing upward". Stick around long enough and you'll be promoted. Has a culture of cronyism and nepotism. Some people have been here way too long and it shows (unwilling to acknowledge market pay, willfully ignorant of developments in work culture and professional norms in the 21st century, afraid of technology). Do not actually want to implement new ideas to propel the company forward. Maintaining status quo is more important than making the necessary changes to help the company grow.
