Pros

Motivated team to work with, safety minded, and a varied job experience keeps things exciting. The methods utilized here and the historic nature of this mine add an extra layer of interest to us history buffs. The location is excellent for those looking for close proximity to outdoor recreation activities.

Cons

Commute can be long, particularly during poor weather. While the company provides transport, the large commuting time commitment is still there. Where provided, company housing is not suitable for those with families, nor does schedule currently permit traveling home a long distance when off rotation (for geos). Pay does not take into account the skyrocketing local housing market, and is middle/bottom of the range for this field to start with. This results in not being able to afford to live locally/in the same county for a reasonable percentage of income, leading to unnecessarily limited home/family time while on rotation. The alternative to commuting is being very overextended on housing. Many employees chose to commute 1+ hour each direction.
