Pros
Hired on quickly, sick days OK
Cons
- ableist -one-size-fits-all ABA -zero accommodations for clients -double standards for children based on their development -double standards for workers based on job title -ever growing responsibilities without raises -irregular hours and compensation -rely on employee compliance to do what they want -unwelcome overlaps -disorganized and poor listening skills -making kids do things their way only -constant emails and zoom supervisions -not transparent about switching providers routinely Your free time is confused for your availability. I usually worked 6 or 7 days/ week. Meetings and phonecalls were often scheduled on my hour break. If scheduling didn't respond to emails for weeks at a time, it would become my responsiblity to make sure I received my full pay. Software barely worked and when it errs, it usually falls on you. Mediating client-agency relations was stressful and unpleasant.
