Pros
There will always be plenty to do, good or bad. Worked on a few good and interesting projects, but had to work out incomplete designs that were released to Production. I had the opportunity to learn some new technologies while getting the job done. Some in the union worked well in ironing out issues and had good ideas.
Cons
I felt I was only there to execute others directives. You don't feel important as long as trucks were out the door and being delivered. But if something went wrong look for them to find a fall guy. Way too much time wasted in fixing problems, finalizing designs on the Line. The plant and surrounding area is toxic. It was an old piston ring plant where plating process waste was handled and dumped. Asbestos still remains on location.
