-management tried to shut conversation about how much everyone is getting payed for the same job. Turns out some are getting paid more to start than others who have been there for months.
-management would brag about the high turnover rate.
-DC staff and the nurse are the only ones there on weekends. You can only call the on-call therapist if it’s an emergency (Self harm or someone runs). Which means if a client has a problem you’re the only one who is there to help. Lots of times things would escalate because we are not trained mental health professionals.
-management loves to throw the word “boundaries” around. Like I said before, on weekends you’re the only person here for these girls. You’re going to get close to them. You’re going to learn everything about them. Management would always tell us that we aren’t allowed to get close to the girls, and while I agree that they shouldn’t know any personal information about the staff, I do not agree that we shouldn’t be able to be close acquaintances. They are human beings, not just walking money bags with mental illnesses.
-as a DC you don’t get any sick days. None. You have to have someone cover your shift or you get fired.
-I got paid 10.50 an hour to be a supervisor. I started at 10.00.
-if something terrible happens during your shift during a weekend you’re supposed to call management, and a lot of the times they wouldn’t answer or they would brush off what was happening.
-clients would bring up valid information and it would constantly get shut down.
