Pros

3 12 hour work days a week

Cons

12+ hours of being on the phone Not enough staff to place on both hospital sides and within the company. No balance of work loads or friendly dynamic between the coworkers; everyone took the "survival of the fittest" attitude amongst the internal group. Constant negative gossip about coworkers to coworkers. Having to dress business casual for being on the phones....really? Tailing on from poor work flow, management needs to take into account that 2 people sometimes 3 is not enough to manage all accounts successfully. There needs to be at least 5 on the floor at all times.

Pros

Pay is decent if you are skilled in negotiation.

Cons

-Avantas is part of AMN Healthcare, their office in Omaha, NE employs no one with any leadership experience. This may have worked in the past but with plans to grow its not sustainable. -Directors and Vice Presidents are always behind closed doors and do not interact with those they are supposed to be leading and teaching. -Catty gossip and dishonesty is the norm. -Avantas offers one of the worst 401K matches of any employer, especially those in the technology field. -There is no training or on boarding program, you are expected to read about anything you want to learn as it is poorly documented within their blog-like system that has more resemblance to a black hole. -Avantas does not even give you a solid foundation to stand on from day one. -Training schedule I was given was not even accurate. -They have a large office but its nearly empty most days as some are allowed to work from home while others are not. -There is no consistency except for favoritism - If a Director or VP likes you, you will do well but promotions are not based on merit but on personal opinions of those in a leadership position.
