Pros

-Kitchen is well stocked most of the time, namely Monday - Wednesday -Beer on Fridays -Work from home is a possibility if need be -Direct management is very sympathetic and understanding -PTO plan is very good -Lot's of good coworkers -Fish tank & quiet spaces -People are generally very understanding & willing to train when you are new -No shortage of work and not in a bad way -Company is growing

Cons

-Leadership team is highly disconnected from the needs of the company -Leadership team lacks basic understanding of the product and industry in which it's built for -When met with challenges, leadership would rather mass exodus good & dedicated employees who grasp the concepts of the software than have good people who disagree -Constant bait & switch with promotions: "you'll be in X department in several months if you work hard"...move never happens -Tolerance for blatant mediocrity & poor work ethic: Management is fine keeping bad employees where they are but not OK with moving motivated team mates -Sales Team will promise quite literally anything, such as products that don't exist or are not possible. -Unrealistic development goals with given staffing level -Given current forecast, I see an acquisition by a competitor far more likely in future than in years previous

Pros

The core software actually does what it is supposed to do for the most part. It has a lot of potential if you strip away all the noise happening behind the scenes, and you can see why clients initially buy into the platform. You get to work with some really solid peers who are just trying to put their heads down and survive the day to day. There are some incredibly talented developers and product people in the trenches making things happen despite the chaos. Honestly, coming up with a third distinct positive is tough when things are this messy. The baseline benefits and compensation are at least average for the industry, and the paycheck clears on time.

Cons

Promotion paths are completely non existent unless you happen to be part of the inner circle. The culture is heavily driven by favoritism and nepotism rather than actual merit, so working hard and delivering results rarely translates to moving up the ladder. The environment is incredibly unprofessional at the top. I have been on calls where grown adults in leadership positions at each other in front of the team, creating a wildly toxic atmosphere that absolutely hurts morale. The product north star changes every four to six weeks based on whichever client is yelling the loudest, leaving the team constantly reacting instead of building a strategic roadmap. Nobody knows what is going on, and zero people take ownership of their mess.
