Pros

A 7 hour work day, which is good for working families with children, and lots of facilities (cafeteria, access to other resources, benefits and discounts etc.) are the best reasons.

Cons

The management doesn't embrace change that easily, or proactive suggestions from junior employees towards positive change. There's a lot of resources and skills in people there which go non-utilized, unnoticed, and they end up doing nothing, and wasting time. The channels through which projects squander money especially in IT, and the bureaucracy which eats up time are not scrutinized enough by the upper management. The manner in which employees are recognized is always not fair.

Pros

I've been with Avis Budget Group for 16 years, and one of the biggest reasons I've stayed is the opportunity for growth. I've had multiple promotions throughout my career because the company has consistently been willing to invest in people who work hard, take ownership, and deliver results. No two days are ever the same, which keeps the work interesting. I've had the chance to lead teams in multiple markets, work alongside talented leaders, and continually develop new skills. The business is fast-paced, but it gives you the opportunity to make decisions, solve problems, and have a real impact on both customers and employees. I've worked with leaders who genuinely care about developing talent, and many of the people I've worked with have built long-term careers here. If you're willing to put in the effort, there are significant opportunities to grow professionally and take on increasing levels of responsibility. The company also continues to invest in new technology and operational improvements, making it easier to serve customers and support employees.

Cons

Like any customer-facing operation, there are busy periods that can be demanding, especially during holidays and peak travel seasons. Success requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs. The pace isn't for everyone, but for people who enjoy problem-solving, leadership, and working in an environment where every day is different, those challenges become opportunities to learn and grow.
