Pros

Good medical, dental, and paid time off. Free use of fleet vehicle with unlimited gas and free insurance.

Cons

Company takes tax credits for hiring veterans and reserves/guard members, and claims to be "military friendly" ; however, my first day I was asked if there was a limit on how many of "you people" they can hire. Also, I was given notice of a possible deployment, and my District Manager asked if I could "get out of the deployment" , and further stated that it would hurt my career with ABG going on the deployment. No concern for my family or well being whatsoever... Sexual harassment is off the charts in this place. It makes it tough to do your job, when those who report to you have so much dirt on your bosses, they just go over your head every time you try to be a leader/manager. I was asked to cover up abuse of an employee by other employee's for that individuals sexual orientation. They were more worried about staffing during "season" then doing what's right. In addition, another manager went AWOL with an employee, on the clock to a tune of 3 hours on my shift while they got drunk. Turns out, the manager got a DUI and crashed a company vehicle that night... Guess what? He still works there, and they tried to cover that up to. Unfortunately he looks really bad in his mugshot, and is currently the running joke around the airport. They don't operate from policies and procedures, but rather use traditions based on seniority to basically haze less tenured employee's. Lastly, I've never seen or heard of a bigger abuse of a "salary" in my life. If you"re lucky you will start at 40K a year; however, when you get done figuring out how many hours you worked you make about $12 an hour; pretty sure you can do better... No morals, ethics, or concept of human capital. No concept of team whatsoever, not even among management.

Pros

Upon completing my first month, what has stood out most to me is how genuinely supportive and welcoming the team culture is. Every person I've worked with has consistently made it clear that if I ever need help or have questions, they are available and willing to support me. One thing that has been especially meaningful is the personal initiative some coworkers take, such as a colleague who regularly checks in with me after shifts to see how I'm doing, offer encouragement, or recognize my progress. Those small but thoughtful moments have made a huge difference in building my confidence. In addition, my supervisor's consistent end-of-day check-ins have provided structure and support as I continue learning the many facets of my role. Overall, this has made me feel not only welcomed, but truly invested in. Leadership's emphasis on improving both employee experience and customer experience also makes it clear that the company values its people, which is incredibly motivating as a new employee.

Cons

Naturally there's a learning curve with any new role. It's been a lot to take in, but that's more about being new than about the company. The support I have makes it all feel manageable.
