Pros
Nothing really comes to mind.
Cons
- Low Pay - No Training Offered and you’ll definitely be blamed for any mistakes made in spite of this, even if they’re not your own. - The Managing Partner is extremely unprofessional and vile. Employees seem to have a general consensus on this. It’s a “everybody’s extremely uncomfortable but it’s the kid‘s birthday party and he’s having fun” vibe whenever he’s in the room. - Senior management only measure success by profitability alone, which means that salaries will continue to be laughably low, junior members of staff won’t be valued and will be seen to be easily replaceable and senior members of staff will push their juniors to the brink in order for their department to meet billing targets. - Lack of compliance and persistent issues with the SRA. - Unequal Pay. Juniors who have been with the firm for over a year will come to realise that new juniors who have just joined the firm could be being paid more than they are with no justification given. - Annual appraisals are useless and just a mere formality. They’re not taken into account to discuss potential bonuses or salary increases but are merely there and pushed upon employees to meet the firm’s criteria for Lexcel accreditation.
