Pros
Working at Ayyeka was a positive experience in terms of everything from compensation to teamwork to senior managements attitude. Internal communication and transparency was a particularly string point. There were monthly company-wide meetings with the CEO who would give a detailed update on the status and trajectory of the company. All team meetings were held out in the open and inter-team meetings were held between once a week and once every two weeks. Management strategy is clearly focused on cohesive teamwork rather than formal hierarchy and that was felt on every level. The focus was on getting the job done in a calm, informal environment while maintaining a good work life balance.
Cons
I have no complaints from my time there. What I will say is that when working at Ayyeka independence and initiative are expected. At the time of this writing this is still a relatively small company, so expect a diverse range of responsibilities and an expectation for independent thinking. This isn't really a "con" - every company has a different pace and culture and the attitude at Ayyeka made for a great overall experience as far as I was concerned.
