Pros
Opportunities for progression and sample sales (like in any other large retail business). In the Summer we have an ice cream van that visits every other Friday at a subsidised price and suppliers visit every so often with free samples.
Cons
Expected to be indispensable to the Business, no workplace benefits, no sick pay, no working from home and ridiculous work place politics. You are just seen as a number in these places and so are all of the staff who work in stores all about profit and do not care about the people who work for them its is why I left.
