Pros
Socially valuable products, good emphasis on ergonomics, associates at the individual contributor level are excellent and supportive.
Cons
Top management is completely distracted by too many acquisitions. This has distorted the resources in the company and resulted in unjustifiable reductions in the workforce (for example, employees who leave cannot be replaced). Any semblance of work/life balance is gone. Corporate is interfering with the business units and middle management is hamstrung by too many conflicting demands from the top. Managers are bullied by HR and cannot respond to department needs with flexibility. For example, I retired early because I was denied part-time to meet elder care responsibilities, even though company emails touted flexible work benefits. Too much outsourcing is still happening. Health care benefits continue to deteriorate.
